Do’s and Don’ts (Affiliate Marketing Rules)

✅ DOs

To remain in good standing, affiliates must:

Use Accurate Product Names and Descriptions

  • Always refer to products using official names as listed on the BC9.co website.
  • Avoid slang or exaggerated terminology.
Example: Use “Noopept Nootropic” instead of “brain hack pill” or “limitless drug.”

Reference Testing & Quality Assurance (Where Applicable)

  • You may mention third-party testing, Certificates of Analysis (CoAs), or purity levels when such documentation is available.
  • Avoid making claims unless substantiated with documentation.
Example: “Some products are tested for purity and quality when applicable.”

Use Only Approved Branding & Creatives

  • Use logos, product images, and promo assets from BC9.co’s Affiliate Resource section.
  • Request additional or custom assets through our support team when needed.

Clearly Disclose Your Affiliate Relationship

  • In line with FTC rules, every promotional post must include a proper affiliate disclosure.
Sample: “This post contains affiliate links. I may earn a commission if you make a purchase through one of these links, at no extra cost to you.”

Include the Required Disclaimer

Mandatory on all content:

“All products are for research use only. Not for human or animal consumption.”

  • This disclaimer must be clearly visible, placed near promotional content, and used exactly as written.

❌ DON’Ts

To stay compliant and protect your affiliate status, affiliates must not:

  • Promote products for direct human or animal consumption
(Affiliates may discuss FDA-approved clinical uses or cite peer-reviewed human studies, but must do so objectively and with references. Do not imply BC9.co products are approved for end-user use.)
  • Make unsubstantiated medical claims
(Terms like “treats,” “cures,” or “prevents” may only be used when directly citing FDA-approved uses or recognized clinical research, with proper attribution.)
  • Provide dosage instructions or suggest usage protocols
(e.g., “take 10mg daily” or “stack with X for better results”) — this remains strictly prohibited.
  • Compare products to pharmaceutical drugs
(e.g., “better than Ritalin,” “like Ozempic but natural”) — avoid brand or prescription drug comparisons.
  • Guarantee specific results or outcomes
(e.g., “gain 10 lbs of muscle in 30 days”) — claims must be evidence-based and avoid exaggeration.
  • Misuse branding or marketing materials
(Do not distort logos, repackage products, or misrepresent images.)
  • Alter BC9.co brand elements
(Logos, colors, taglines, and watermarked images must remain unedited.)
  • Run paid ads using BC9.co branding without prior approval
(This includes Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram promotions, or influencer boosts with branded visuals.)

Marketing Examples

To help you craft compliant, effective promotional content, here are specific examples of what is acceptable and unacceptable when marketing BC9.co products.

✅ Acceptable Marketing Language

These examples follow all affiliate guidelines, avoid misleading claims, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. Some include responsible references to human trials or FDA-approved research:

Example 1:

“Explore high-quality peptides and nootropics for research purposes only from BC9.co.”

Why it’s acceptable:

  • Clearly states products are for research use only
  • No medical or consumption claims made

Example 2:

“BC9.co offers carefully sourced research compounds and supplements designed for laboratory investigation and scientific study.”

Why it’s acceptable:

  • Positions products accurately as research materials
  • Uses neutral, factual language without suggesting results or benefits

Example 3:

“Select compounds available at BC9.co have been involved in peer-reviewed human studies focused on cognitive performance. [Source: ClinicalTrials.gov study ID]”

Why it’s acceptable:

  • References human research without implying consumer use
  • Includes a credible citation
  • Does not suggest the product itself is approved or sold for that purpose

Example 4:

“The compound [Compound Name], offered by BC9.co for research use, was studied in an FDA-approved clinical trial for potential effects on memory and focus. [Include study link or citation]”

Why it’s acceptable:

  • Refers to an official FDA-approved study
  • Makes no promises or health claims about the product as sold
  • Maintains research-only positioning

❌ Unacceptable Marketing Language

These examples violate affiliate policy by implying consumption, making unverified claims, or referencing pharmaceuticals inappropriately:

Example 1:

“Boost your memory instantly with BC9.co nootropics!”

Why it’s not acceptable:

  • Makes a direct health benefit claim
  • Suggests immediate effectiveness
  • Implies use by humans, which is prohibited

Example 2:

“Safe and effective for daily use.”

Why it’s not acceptable:

  • Implies the product is approved for regular human use
  • Makes safety and efficacy claims without FDA approval
  • Contradicts the required “research use only” disclaimer

Example 3:

“Better than Adderall — try our nootropics!”

Why it’s not acceptable:

  • Compares BC9.co products to a prescription drug
  • Suggests similar effects without clinical validation
  • Violates FDA and FTC advertising guidelines

Disclaimers (Mandatory)

Required on all content promoting BC9.co:

“All products are for research use only. Not for human or animal consumption.”

Usage Rules:

  • Do not alter or paraphrase
  • Display near content, CTA buttons, or purchase links

Keep it legible and visible — no hidden disclaimers in fine print

Asset Use Policy

Permitted

  • Use only official BC9.co branding, logos, and product images
  • Include watermarked mockups unless unbranded versions are provided
  • Seek permission for custom marketing creatives or re-use in paid ads

Prohibited

  • Altering brand colors, shapes, or logos
  • Uploading our branded materials to third-party platforms (e.g., Amazon, eBay, etc.)
  • Misrepresenting or re-labeling products in any way

Affiliate Disclosure Requirements

Per FTC guidelines, all affiliate content must clearly and conspicuously state your affiliate status.

Sample Disclosure:

“This post contains affiliate links. I may earn a commission if you make a purchase through one of these links, at no extra cost to you.”

Disclosure Tips:

  • Place before or near any affiliate links
  • Don’t hide in bios, tooltips, or footers

Make it visible on all platforms (posts, emails, blogs, videos, etc.)

Consequences of Non-Compliance

Violating these guidelines may result in:

  • Immediate removal from the affiliate program
  • Forfeiture of any earned or pending commissions
  • Legal action for repeated IP violations or brand misuse

Stay Compliant. Earn More.

Following these guidelines helps you:

  • Build trust with your audience
